  • The Rules in Brief is a summary of the most important rules that apply when boats meet. It is printed on a 4" by 9" plastic card and provides an inexpensive and easy way to introduce a new sailor to The Racing Rules of Sailing.   • The Sailor's Guide to the Racing Rules is a short, easy-to-read guide to the basic rules for 2013-2016.  It includes diagrams of common situations, and covers the rules on propulsion, protests, redress, and more.  It can be purchased from the US Sailing Online Store or by calling 1-800-ussail1 (1-800-877-2451).
